She started painting in 1995 and the same year she published her first painting photo album – “Mielec: A Painted Region”. In 1996 she received an award from the President of Mielec for outstanding cultural achievements. In 1997 her second painting photo album “A Painted Beauty of Mielec” was released. In a span of next years, her works were used in calendars and prospects of many companies. Between 1999 and 2001 she studied in Higher School of Economics and Management in Mielec. Her bachelor’s thesis was titled “Art Trade in Poland”. In 2003 he graduated from the Rzeszow University of Technology presenting the master’s thesis titled “Marketing in Art Trade in Poland”. Małgorzata Kruk is an author of several thousand paintings. In 2017 she collected her works in a monumental online archive on Pinterest. This archive contains more than 4000 digitalized paintings. It is a source of comprehensive knowledge on Małgorzata Kruk’s development as an artist. Małgorzata Kruk about her art: “To me, a meadow is a substitute of a paradise. My biggest moment of pleasure is to sit among herbs on a fresh and scented meadow and to stare at the horizon, track clouds in the sky or listen to cicadas and grass rustle. This idyllic landscape, filled with a calm and scents gives me an inner peace. I think that everyone has their paradise meadow when a serene rest is possible. We all have our favourite place, a special place that reminds us about childhood, the lost world which is an object of eternal longing. This is the kind of the meadow I paint. The meadow which expresses it all. Love. I fell in love with a motive of meadow when I bought a piece of a wild meadow in 2003 in Podkarpackie region. My love towards it developed as I was observing the meadow’s cycle of life. Every season in a different weather circumstance. The meadow has become my main source of inspiration because it surrounds me every day of my life. Impressions. If I had to name the feelings, emotions or states that can be seen on my paintings, painted between flowers and herbs, I would describe them as a freedom, wind, silence, scent, peace, joy, dance. For example, the freedom can be depicted in various ways – as poppy seeds blown by the wind, the river of loggerheads or the sea of camomile. My mood has a significant impact on my work. I know that the thing which is the most valuable in a particular painting is hidden between the paint’s layers. It is a very special aura of calm and joy. Many people admit that this is what they feel when they see my paintings. Talent. I think that there is something much more essential than my personal skills. It is a gift which was somehow transmitted to me. It cannot be explained, and I do not know why it happened to me. This is a passion I received. It helped me to overcome many barriers and I could start doing what I really love.”
