The design is a multi motif pattern featuring florals and birds with an Aesthetic styling; this one features a pheasant with large flowers and tall leafy stalks. The pattern was introduced in 1875. The blade is engraved with geometrics, florals and curliques; some done in brite cut. Part of the top edge is serrated to facilitate cutting. A spectacular find! Condition: Excellent - there is one small blemish on the back of the handle (see photo); otherwise no silver wear or loss, heel wear or shadows - remarkable for a piece of silverplate that is almost 150 years old.
