Description: Proudly presented today is this lovely San Ildefonso blackware jar by the famous Blue Corn. This classic styled little jar measures 2 and a half inches tall and 3 and a half inches across. Blue Corn was born in 1921 as Crucita Gonzales, and given the name Blue Corn by the sister of Maria Martinez in her San Ildefonso naming ceremony. Her wonderful life spans the golden age of San Ildefonso pottery, and she is rightly viewed as one of the Founding Mothers of its brilliant revitalization. This piece was made in the 1960's. The signature is VERY clear and matches perfectly with other pieces by her. It's diminutive size and classic beauty makes it quite approachable for a piece of this merit. It is an honor to present such a fine piece to you. Buy with complete confidence, for as you all know, if the buyer is unsatisfied for ANY reason, i will immediately return the full purchase price, along with return shipping. This piece would grace any Southwest Pottery collection on earth. Many thanks for your kind consideration, and congratulations in advance to the lucky buyer. As always, Best Regards, Rich
