Description: This blast white 1956 proof Franklin half is the rare Type 1 and was graded Proof 68 by NGC. The coin is completely untoned and looks essentially the same as the day it was minted. The holder does not have the Type 1 designation listed; however, there is no doubt that this is a Type 1. The diagnostic to distinguish Type 1 from Type 2 is the eagle on the reverse. I have included a close up photo of the eagle to confirm the Type 1 details. The current PCGS website price for this coin in Proof 68 is $575. Full insurance is included in the shipping cost. I guarantee that you will be very pleased with this beautiful coin. It's a stunning proof and is absolutely gorgeous. Please visit my other auctions for more great proof coins. I am a serious collector of all 1858 - 1964 proofs and am happy to share my duplicates with fellow collectors. Good luck to you all in building your collections. U.S. buyers only please.
