A wonderful woman who purchased this bag in Florence, Italy, gave me some background on this particular bag. Although it is not marked, she purchased this bag from the store in Italy. They are currently $1,100 at Misuri in Florence. They hand make each bag. And stencil the gold on. It takes 3-4 months to make one bag. You can only get it from Florence. The black leather bag is trimmed in gold leaf detail. It has a double short hand strap mounted with quality gold tone hardware. There is also a double front twist clasp that works by twisting either clasp to the right to enable the bag to open. To close the bag, simply put the metal slot over the clasps and press on the leather bag directly above the framed slot. Both clasps will simultaneously flip closed...so cool. Lined in cherry red leather that is in very good condition. With this one exceptions, please note, the interior has matching black markings on both sides of the interior. I don't know if they are original to the bag and from where it was made, such as a maker's mark, or they are something that has rubbed against them over the years. Please see the last two pictures. This in no way affects the handbag. I have never seen a handbag with this type interior! The interior consists of: Two pockets that close with zippers. One open leather pocket that is trimmed in black leather on the top edge. Double leather change purses, permanently mounted to the handbag with a metal rod (that allows them to swivel). The rod runs through both change purses and attaches to the outside of the bag with small, gold caps. 10.25 " wide x 7" high x 2.5" deep. (Bag is expandable so it will be thicker after your items are inside.) Very good vintage condition. In the right light you can see a few scuffs on the leather from use or possibly storage. Interior is quite clean.
