The directions call for needle-turn applique' (hand quilting), but many love to use fusing and machine stitch edges (Raw Edge applique). The pattern directions create an 11" x 11" fabric block and also explains how to add borders and backing if you are making a pillow with a finished measurement of 18" x 18". Instructions are also included to enlarge the pattern at a print shop if you'd like to make a 42" x 42" quilt. You can make a pillow, place mat, table runner, towel applique, or wall hanging, tote bag, apron, etc. The ideas are endless! You will just love creating with the art of applique. This pattern calls for six (6) different watercolor batik fabrics. Of course, you can use any type of fabric in your design.
