Description: This is your chance to own a piece of Texas Cowboy history. This item is a pair of handmade cowboy working spurs made by the late Billy Klapper in Pampa, Texas. This pair of spurs is an exquisite representation of the spurs West Texas cowboys still use each and every day. The pair comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by a published and well respected authority on Texas spur makers. Season 5 Episode 9 of Yellowstone features the late Billy Klapper, who sadly passed away weeks after filming the scene, describing his spurs and commenting to a Montana cowboy that very few spur makers left still make spurs out of one piece of steel. These spurs are made from one piece of steel, the old school real cowboy way, which is what makes them so special. This pair of spurs is from my father’s personal spur collection. He has hundreds of pairs of spurs and he zealously advocates for causes who support the preservation of the cowboy way of life. He was a friend of Billy Klapper’s and he admired his craftsmanship. It took a lot of convincing to get him to part with this pair, but he agreed that Billy’s legacy would be better honored if these spurs were shared. All funds made from this sale will go towards my father’s continued pursuit to preserve the Texas cowboy legacy. If you choose the local pick up option, which I highly recommend, my father will give you a private tour of his collection as well as a personal account of the history of Texas spurs and the talented makers who crafted them. He’s a real old school cowboy just like Billy Klapper, so don’t be surprised if he offers to cook you a steak dinner made from his own beef.
