Description: Mattel released the "Big Jim" action figure series in 1972, partially in response to Hasbro's GI Joe line. The Big Jim toys came in a wide variety of themes; the orange plastic gas can here was sold with the "Safari Truck" playset. Like a lot of smaller action figure accessories, these are pretty hard to come by. Notably, "Big Jim" was the first figure to feature "karate action" -- when you pressed a button on the toy's back, the arm would execute a karate chop.
