Description: Sowing begonia seeds can be tricky. Personally, I've only had success germinating with akadama in a small sealed container. These are the exact materials I use to sow seed. Kit includes:5.5oz container with lid14g of 2-3mm Japanese akadama (approx.)14g of my custom soil mix (approx.)I use a layering technique with akadama and potting soil. I lightly moisten the soil and place on the bottom of the container. I rinse the akadama, then place on top of the soil. Lastly I sprinkle the seeds on top, and close the lid.
