Description: Read once this is a brilliant, tragic and epic engrossing story of initial high levels of success, how one ignorant Dictator battled against a like minded Dictator who came to his senses. A truly tragic epic story of war and suffering but also about how the ordinary soldier of a Nazi war either lived or died trying to win an eventually hopeless battle. I love books that I struggle to put down, I have had this book for a while putting off reading it then picked it up and just kept going back. Like most stories of the Nazi War it is totally about bravery, fear and just total incompetence on many levels. Even with no weaponry left Hitler refused the surrender option whilst Paulus, an admin General decided that further loss of life was pointless sadly it did not end with this.
