Description: Beautiful Vintage 1940s to mid 50s Womans Black Gabardine Jacket. Rayon or possible rayon/wool blend. Nicely detailed throughout with raised black cloth covered appliqué and silver metal studs resembling 3-D clusters of grapes. Made by 'Crownley Hand Tailored' in the USA. Wide collar, full silk lining and with no shoulder padding or buttons. A wrap coat I think you'd call it although there is no belt either. A larger size. Bust measures 22 inches across and shoulders 16.75 across. This is with the front overlapped about 2 inches. Length is 27 inches and the sleeves are 24.25 inches long. In good condition. It has two nicks on the right collar, see photo. Some light soiling on the cuffs and the beginning of a fray. Otherwise in good sound wearable condition. A very striking looking jacket. Could be casual or dressy. Shipped promptly. Questions welcome.
