Description: Beautiful, PARTICULARLY COLORFUL Large 4" Vintage ROYAL DOULTON English Decorative Ceramic/Porcelain TOBY JUG, "LONDON BOBBY POLICEMAN" DESCRIPTION: Scarce early1985 vintage Royal Doulton Decorative Toby Jug depicting "THE LONDON BOBBY POLICEMAN". This is a beautiful, high quality porcelain ceramic bust, as only Royal Doulton can produce, depicting an early, famous literary character. Side handle depicts the Big Ben tower & police whistle. GREAT DETAIL, ESPECIALLY IN THE HANDLE!!! Great, bright full colors all over and a great looking toby!! Identified on bottom is "London Bobby". An early toby, with initial 1984 copyright. This was part of a large SMOKE-FREE ENVIRONMENT estate collection I acquired. In excellent condition. PARTICULARLY NICE BRIGHT, NATURAL COLORS. Beautiful detail in face and clothes. The quality of the facial details are especially impressive.This is a beautiful and scarce toby, and a classic British figure. A great, classic piece for your collection.This piece is large, and stands 4" high and is 4" wide x 3" deep.
