Description: Up for sale is a beautiful and rare lithograph by the talented Canadian born print maker and painter Alexander Samuel Macleod. After moving to Hawaii in 1921 he became well known for his depictions of Hawaii landscapes and depictions of their native people. This lithograph is a fine and extremely rare example titled "Waikiki Valley" dated 1942 and is signed in pencil low right. This landscape shows two figures in the distance viewed through dense vegetation and homes behind. The charming nature of this print outstanding and it is a personal favorite from my collection. The condition of this lithograph is fine measuring 14.5 x 17.74 inches showing an expected even toning while its original wood frame measuring 21.75 x 24.25 inches shows minimal wear. Alexander Samuel Macleod has works permanently held in some of the most notable and important collections including the Smithsonian. The images provided accurately represent the quality, condition and aesthetic beauty of this fine Hawaiian landscape of Waikiki Valley by Macleod but if you have any questions please feel free to ask prior to purchasing!
