Description: This is a beautiful example of a skewed moving filletster from the 19th or possibly 18th century. The makers stamp is partially obscured, but I can make out what looks like St. Simon, the location of the maker?Anyway, the skewed iron is in perfect shape, with lots of metal left. The plane has an angled knicker with wedge, and the fence adjusts easily and tightens up well. The fence is square for the most part, it may need a nick off the edge if you plane to use this one. The depth stop and adjustment thumbscrew are all here and work perfectly. This is a beautiful piece of woodworking history.
