Front panel has double blind-stamped borders with gilt-stamped lettering and a gilt-stamped castle illustration in the center. Spine has double blind-stamped borders at the head and tail and gilt-stamped lettering. Upper page edges are gilt. Boards and spine are clean, lettering and illustrations are crisp. Creasing along the upper edge at head of spine, lower edge at tail is a bit crimped. Heavy foxing on the external side and lower page edges. Shadow transfers on the end papers. Gutter is crack at the frontispiece and title pages. Some internal foxing. Text block is sound. Dust jacket is soiled overall. Spine is heavily sunned and with several stains. Significant loss across head of spine and adjacent upper edges of front and back panels. Tail of jacket spine is chipped as well as several areas on the upper and lower edges.
