Description: Super cool Balda Super Baldessa 1B late 1950's rangefinder. The Color-Westenar 50mm f2.8 lens is clean and clear of fungus. The shutter and aperture are clean. Speeds from 300 down to 1/8s are ok, but slower than that are sticky. Fine for daytime shooting. The rangefinder is clear and contrasty and accurate. The built-in Gossen selenium meter works but is 1-1/3 stop off. I have kept it taped over with black electrical tape to preserve the cell as much as possible. I use a handheld meter but there are phone apps that work great too. This is a very quirky and cool looking camera. Google search on it and you'll find some glowing and interesting reviews. This camera works and will take great pictures as is. For sure search for the manual and download, it's freely available online and you'll need it.
