It’s a short throw which means the projector sits close to the screen and projects upwards (as opposed to handing from the ceiling and projecting across the room). This means the projection doesn’t pick up the light in the room, so the resolutions is crisp. I would not purchase this without the ILR screen (which I am selling with the projector). You Tube the difference between projecting on a white wall versus using the ALR screen. Night and day difference. In my opinion, the ALR screen is a must have. I paid $2K for mine and I have the brackets (which you may have also). I believe I paid around $75 for these and they allow you to hang the projector screen on the wall. The AWOL projector is equipped with a built in sound bar. It rock! I will have to replace the AWAL projector with a new (much smaller TV), but I WILL purchase a sound bar. The AWAL equipment has me spoiled. I purchased this device for one reason. OK, it was amazing, but I purchased a condo in downtown Tampa and there was not enough wall space for my art (expensive art) if I installed a traditional TV. Will a projector, the TV disappears when not in use and your family room, well looks far more amazing. I really don’t watch TV all that much, and when I do, I watch in my bedroom more that on a 120 inch projector in my family room. I’m somewhat of an IT idiot and I can easily work this machine. You are welcome to come and see it. The machine can be calibrated easily to fit precisely in the position you have your screen. Merry Christmas!
