For your consideration is a Mamod TE1a Live Steam Tractor made in England in the late 1970s/early 1980s. This tractor is only in average condition... It has been air tested (video) and should not give too much trouble to operate on steam.It is 100% complete, including the original box that is in good condition.It is 100% original. While the tractor is mechanically sound, it does have some cosmetic issues.It suffered from being stored with some of the solid fuel in a moist environment. When the solid fuel dissolves, it creates a whitish residue that is mildly corrosive. It usually can be brushed away fairly easily.The paint has also suffered from the same situation in several places.So, a deep cleaning is certainly called for along with, probably, some paint touch-up.(Photos). This particular model was around for 60+ years without a whole lot of changes.
