About: The Horizon Review of Literature and Art was a well known literary periodical that ran from 1940-1949, with a short hiatus during WWII. It ran for around 120 issues. Edited by British writer and astute literary critic Cyril Connolly, contributors include notables such as T.S. Eliot, George Orwell, W. H. Auden, Virginia Woolf, Dylan Thomas and many others from that period. There were feature poems, stories, book reviews and art history features as well. Horizon is still considered an important vehicle for giving authors of the time an avenue for getting their voice out there, and considered a cultural artifact of literature during the mid-20th Century wartime and postwar periods. Making offers: I certainly can appreciate wanting a better deal, and I've made offers myself on my own purchases. To be up front, if and when you make an offer, I will automatically reject crazy low "give it away" offers. Best not to waste our time. With a more reasonable offer, I will review current pricing for other comparable items out there and either accept, counter or decline submitted offer. If in that review, I find my pricing is already LOW and outdated, I may then increase the price to bring more in line with other offerings. I spend a lot of time sourcing the best offerings, preparing the listings with images and clear descriptions, and price fairly in MOST cases. I remain grateful to all who consider my offerings, and I look forward to serving your needs respectfully and with success.
