He also worked at Citroën and Brissonneau et Lotz.BiographyHe graduated from the Boulle school where he was a student between 1950 and 1953. He then worked in the design studio of Philippe Charbonneaux then at Citroën.He was hired in 1957 by Mercedes-Benz for ten years. He designs the Mercedes-Benz 600, Pagode, Heckflosse (W108, W109, W110, W111 and W112) and “Strich-Acht” (W114 and W115)1. On his return to France in 1967, he worked at Brissonneau and Lotz. During the same period, Bracq designed prototypes of a sports car based on the BMW 1600 and a coupe based on the Simca 1100. He also participated in the design of the TGV 001 prototype in collaboration with Jacques Cooper. In 1970, he became design director at BMW, where he was notably responsible for the design of the 5 Series (E12), 3 Series (E21), 6 Series (E24), 7 Series (E23) and in 1973 the concept car BMW Turbo “Studie”. This Turbo “Studie” would subsequently inspire the M1, Z1, Series 8 and M1 Hommage concept. The Turbo “Studie” is named “Concept-Car of the Year” by the Revue Automobile Suisse this year; then at the Bagatelle Concours d’Elegance in 1992. Bracq is also indirectly responsible for the design of the 5 Series (E28) whose style changes only slightly compared to the previous model, the E12.He worked at Peugeot from 1974. He is responsible for the interior design of the Peugeot 6044, 3055, 505, 2055, 4055, 605, 1065, 4065 and 206. He is also working on the Quasar, Proxima and Oxia concept cars and on the study of a Papamobile.
