This is a custom built mod kit that will upgrade your Atari 2600 system video and allow you to Pause your system! It replaces the old RF Output (coaxial) with better quality composite audio/video (RCA cable). This mod will give your system a better picture and you will not need any adapters/switch boxes to hook it up to your TV. The link to the video below shows the difference between an original RF Atari output and my composite video mod. Notice how much clearer the game on the right side is, it doesn't have the "noise" and static that you see on the left side. Imagine the difference this makes on today's big screen TV's. Many newer TV's cannot use the old connectors directly. This kit will allow your console to hook up directly to your TV's RCA (Yellow-Red-White) input. The main tools you will need are wire cutters, a soldering iron, and some kind of de-soldering tool. The process itself is fairly easy and I have detailed guides for every kind of Atari system. It involves soldering the included wires to the mod kit, cutting or de-soldering a few parts from the Atari mainboard and soldering in the wires to the circuit board. You will also need to drill holes in the Atari case for the included RCA jacks. Finally, you can run to the kitchen and grab something to drink without losing your game! This mod allows you to pause your Atari indefinitely! It will work on all Atari 2600 systems, 4 switch, 6 switch, and Jr. While the system is paused you will see random images on the screen, but rest assured your game will be waiting for you in the exact same place when you get back! Be sure to follow the Installation Guides for each mod carefully. You will follow the same steps as the separate video and pause instructions. I recommend starting with the video mod first. This mod will work for NTSC as well as PAL systems. I am not responsible for any damage done to your system that results from not following directions.
