Internal black & white illustrations by Emsh, Freas and van Dongen. Works by: Isaac AsimovRandall GarrettLee CorreyJohn J. McGuireRobert RandallP. Schuyler Miller. FUN FACT: Randall Garrett is a founding member of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). Astounding originally began in 1930 under the title Astounding Stories of Super Science, and has gone through many publishing, title and editorial changes over the years. With the elevation of writer John W. Campbell Jr to editor, his early change was to retitle the digest to Astounding Science-Fiction in the late ‘30s, as well as steering the content towards more mature science fiction readers. This was also under the publisher Street & Smith which brought format changes as well. Campbell later retitled the digest series to Analog Science Fiction/Science Fact in the later ‘60s. Campbell remained editor from 1937 until 1971. At that point, Ben Bova took over as editor from 1972 until 1978. That position has shifted several times since, and this publication is still running to this day under the title Analog Science Fiction and Fact. Eighty-Nine years. wOw!! To be up front, if and when you make an offer, I will automatically reject crazy low "give it away" offers. Best not to waste our time. With a more reasonable offer, I will review current pricing for other comparable items out there and either accept, counter or decline submitted offer. If in that review, I find my pricing is already LOW and outdated, I may then increase the price to bring more in line with other offerings. I spend a lot of time sourcing the best offerings, preparing the listings with images and clear descriptions, and price fairly in MOST cases. I remain grateful to all who consider my offerings, and I look forward to serving your needs respectfully and with success.
