Description: This listing is for a beautiful painted ceramic miniature of the lighthouse at Hunting Island, South Carolina. The lighthouse lights up with a 7 watt bulb when plugged in and switched on. It is working, though it appears to have a minor short at the base of the tower. It makes a lovely decoration or keepsake for anyone who enjoys collecting lighthouses or for those with holiday miniatures of the like. Look closely at the photos. The edge of the roof shingle overhang may or may not be chipped off one of the buildings. If it is a chip, it is very subtle as I can't see unexposed, unpainted material underneath. It may well be a case of intentional weathering on the sculpt. I can't seem to find a photo of this particular lighthouse to compare against. The item is also somewhat difficult to dust into all the little sculpted details, so canned compressed air may be needed for further cleaning. One of the felt pads on the base is also missing. Please see photos for specific condition. This particular model appears to be harder to find and looks to have been sold at a nearby gift shop for $25. I believe this series was manufactured in the 1990s in China. One of the other models offered said '1998' in its listing, though I cannot find an indication on the lighthouse itself as to lock down either this or a more specific date.
