Description: AS-IS Vintage 1963 Zenith Portable LP8 Phonograph/Record Player Chassis 1L21. Cosmetically, this is in okay shape - some marks, discoloration, etc. (you can certainly tell this was used). I also picked some old, 1960s salt water taffy pieces out of the bottom of this, which was both fascinating and gross, so despite my best attempts to clean this up, there are some salt water taffy remnants in the very bottom (see seventh photo). Measures about 15.75” x 17.5” x 9” at the longest, widest, and highest points when closed. When I plugged this in, I could tell it receives power. When adjusting the knobs, it seems to adjust to those changes by emitting different sounds/frequencies. However, I can’t get the turntable to spin, and I’m not sure why that is. I’m not a mechanic or good with repairs, so I’m selling as-is. The turntable may be the only issue or there may be other issues in addition to the turntable, but because I can’t test all of the functionality when it won’t spin in the first place, I can’t definitively say one way or the other. Even if this piece only functions as decor, it’s wicked cool!
