Description: This Artley flute is a little musty and needs a good cleaning but it plays well in all registers from high C to low C! Serial number 196399 The headjoint is marked silver and is in good condition. I see only two pinpoint dents. The flute is a little musty smelling. I have not tried to correct it. The pads are showing signs of age such as dirt and darkening. However, they all seem to seal well, and the flute is easy to play. All the keys move freely and the flute goes together easily. There are surface scratches and scuffs, as well as discoloration and dirt under the key mechanism. The case is obviously old, and shows signs of age. The latches and handle work well. Although it is very playable as it is, I think this would be a nice flute with some TLC! I have done my best to describe it, but please contact me if you have any other questions.
