Description: This listing is for a vintage 1920s comic postcard featuring anthropomorphic Teddy Bears in a classroom, by German artist Arthur Thiele. This card from a local estate collection, as follows: TITLES / SUBJECTS: Titled (in German) “Teddyschule: Lesestunde” (Teddy School: Reading Lesson). Card depicts anthropomorphic Teddy bears with their teacher, in a very active classroom! On the back a description narrates: “The classroom, filled with noisy, humming bugs, like bad boys, disrupts the class, while one good Teddy is outraged!” Signed by the artist Arthur Thiele (1860-1936), he was known for his paintings, illustrations, and postcard designs, especially of humanized animals. SOLID/DIVIDED BACK: Divided back. UNUSED/POSTMARK: Unused. PUBLISHER: Ink stamped “Leo Stainer, Innsbruck”. CONDITION: Very Good vintage unused condition. Bright vibrant colors.
