There are books, magazines, pamphlets, bookplates, prints, litho’s, post cards, posters, labels, stamps, labels, envelopes, and many more items. This lot is for a special promotional letter and 3 different versions of a book titled "TRIUMPH ON THE GALLOWS" by Itzhak Gurion. This was published in 1950. In addition to the 3 different books, this lot has an original letter from the “America Memorial Committee For The Hanged Martyrs of Eretz Israel”. It is promoting the book. This letter contains the Arthur Szyk drawing on its letterhead - very scarce. This lot has the following 4 items: 1) The special letter with the Arthur Szyk drawing on its letterhead. This measures about 8 ¼” x 11” and has no marks or tears. It has a horizontal fold in the middle. 2) “Triumph on the Gallows” – with ENGLISH text and is in a Hardcover format with its original dust jacket with the Szyk illustration. 3) “Triumph on the Gallows” – with HEBREW text and is in a Hardcover format with its original dust jacket with the Szyk illustration 4) “Triumph on the Gallows” – with HEBREW text and is in a Softcover format with its original dust jacket with the Szyk illustration There is a smaller illustration of the same drawing by Szyk on the inside front fly-sheet of each book.. The Hebrew language editions are not as common as the English language version. The Hebrew formats measure about 5 3/4" x 8 1/2". The English format is slightly larger and is in excellent condition. They are complete and in good condition. The Hebrew dust jackets are worn, especially by the spines of both issues. See photos.
