Thank you! DESCRIPTION: This auction features a vintage Czechoslovakia ring. It bears a double twisted metal for the actual band. I highly suspect this metal is brass. The focal point is clearly the front and left sides. This bears a filigree metal (again, likely brass) with inset black stones. There are two round glass stones on the top, two on the bottom, and a single one on the left and right sides. The middle bears a larger, rectangular black stone, as well. All of these glass pieces are faceted and prong-set. The back bears a small circular plaque which reads, "CZECHO" on the top and "SLOVAKIA" on the bottom. The very back of the band is open, which I do believe was typical of rings from that era. In researching this piece, it appears that these rings actually date from about 1918 to around the mid 1930s. Give the black glass theme, I am almost wondering if this may have been a mourning piece, too. It would make a wonderful addition to any vintage ring collection. CONDITION: FAIR ~ I am considering the age and use of this item when factoring the condition rating. I do feel this ring likely rates in Fair condition for the age and use of it. This is especially considering the fact that it is more than likely 80+ years old. Although the band area does have some minor bending -- likely from normal use and wear on the finger -- it is definitely not something that should keep it from being worn or used. The focal area looks to be doing well with no major issues to report. The black glass pieces does have fingerprints and some soiling see, but I will leave any cleaning to the new owner. I did check the glass pieces under my loupe and do not see any chips, cracks or missing pieces to any of the pieces. Although it does have some usual wear seen, I have every belief that it also has plenty of years of enjoyment and use still left in it. With age and use considered, I would still say this ring rates in FAIR condition overall.
