The Apple2OnlineStore Apple IIGSExternal Battery Checker A customer asked if we could make him an inexpensive external Apple IIGS battery checker so that he didn't have to open the case every time he wanted to check the status of the internal battery. This is the result. This is an external display to check the voltage of the internal ½AA battery on the motherboard. The unit has a voltage display and on/off button on the front, and measures 50x50mm (2x2") at the base and stands 70mm (2.75") tall, so the unit is small and doesn't take up much space! The unit attaches to the + & - battery terminals on the motherboard by feeding the attaching hooks through one of the slot openings on the back of the IIGS and attaching to the battery terminals (red hook to + terminal, black hook to - terminal). The cable is approximately 20-22" length, allowing you to position the battery checker on top or alongside of the IIGS, or simply hidden in the back until needed. We have both white and mint green units available so please let us know what color you prefer, otherwise we will select one at random. Unit comes with our 1-year warranty. Ships USPS.
