Description: 'Any Wednesday' Original Playbill Program Barbara Cook George Gaynes Muriel Resnik 1965 For theater lovers--surviving original souvenir program from 'Any Wednesday' (1965)-written by Muriel Resnick, directed by Henry Kaplan and starring Barbara Cook and George Gaynes. This play opened on Broadway in 1964 starring Sandy Dennis; this program is dated December 1965. Included is a contemporaneous tear sheet, soliciting money for the Actors Fund of America This was Barbara Cook's first non-musical role on Broadway after such hits as 'The Music Man'. It was made into a film in 1966, starring Jane Fonda. Interestingly, these earlier programs were much more extensive than what came later--over 40 pages including great vintage advertising.
