Description: This exceptional British tray of the 1820's-30's features delicately spool-turned handles and stripe-work inlays of alternating thick cut satinwood and rosewood. The surface is very old and possibly original French polish and the tray measures 4" to the top of the handles; 2 1/4" x 10 1/4" x 8" body of tray proper. The tray has a Richard Norton, Inc. provenance and displays a crack to the underlying wood of the bottom which is NOT visible on the interior of the tray.
