Description: Dunham ( Note to me -- watermelon seed style hub ) ) OAL Diameter = 15 1/2" Tine tip to tin tip ( across the body ) Weight = 14pounds Thickness through the hub = 5" Axle Hole dia. = 2" Number of Tines = 10 This very solid cast iron Rotary Hoe Wheel is one of several styles made by Dunham over the years. This one has the number 108 X cast onto the body one one side and a large "A" on the other. I have seen this style of Dunham wheel with an "B" and a "C" cast into it as well. There are also several variations in the design of the "webbing" that is between the tines and the hub !! Those variations appear to be for some other reason other than a real function. The implement could have been ordered from the factory with the area between the tines filled with concrete if additional weight was needed ( I have seen such an implement ).. This wheel is "as found" but has been cleaned and oiled to keep it from losing its current patina. Some remnants of the original factory applied green paint may be seen. There is obvious wear and factory slight casting flaws ( as is typical with wheels from this era ). There are no cracks or breaks in this wheel. Additional wheels available.
