Description: Antique Victorian Fireplace Surround: 16 Egyptian Revival Tiles by AE Tile This is a 16 tile surround for a fireplace or mantle. Each tile is six inches square; the whole set measures 36 inches tall and 36 inches across (30 inches tall and 24 inches across on the inside edges). The tiles depict a pair of women in Egyptian garb carrying pots at the bases of each side, and then each remaining tile in the set depicts a floral wreath. The tiles are a mottled green and cream color. The backs have a small layer of dried adhesive and some have a manufacturer's mark from American Encaustic Tile. We ship USPS Priority Mail within two business days of purchase; we package and ship with care. We will likely ship this surround in two boxes to decrease risk of breaking. About us: we bought a house and the previous owners were collectors of antique tile. Most everything we have cataloged so far is from between 1880 and 1910, from a variety of manufacturers, and in a variety of styles. As the tile comes of the walls, it will go up here.
