Copper Weight - 3 3/4 Lb Height - 13 1/2 in Width - 5 in Length - 3 1/2 in This sculpture depicts the Buddha directly after his birth. It was said he took 7 steps immediately following his birth. He has one arm raised pointing at the sky with the other pointing towards the earth. His hair is straight and placed in a bun on top of his head typical of a Gandhara style Buddha sculpture. He wears a dhoti for paints with a sash over his shoulder. His eyes are down cast and look almost closed with a third eye on his forehead. He stands on a double lotus base. A delightful depiction of lord Buddha as a child.
