Description: This is an antique Venetian seven layer chevron bead which comes via the African trade. Great condition with slight beveled bead ends and most of the top blue layer stripes worn away and some of the white layer stripes worn away also. Looks to have been tribally altered in Africa to expose more of the red layer which is most tribal peoples preferred color. This Italian bead measures 16.27mm long by 17.76mm wide. Perfect for adding to your African trade bead collection or for jewelry applications.
