Description: Splendid antique large jewellery crystal box from the beautiful and elegant Art Nouveau era c 1910 Produced by the very famous House of Val Saint Lambert** Val Saint Lambert glass factory was founded in 1826 in Seraing, Belgium. During the Napoleonic Wars, in 1802 Napoleon Bonaparte asked French industrialist Henri d' Artigues to buy the Glassworks at Voneche, Belgium, later on d'Artigues bought the Verrerie de St Anne ( Glassworks Ste Anne ) in the town of Baccarat, France. The glass factory was renamed Verrerie de Voneche / Baccarat. In 1826 M. Kemlin, a chemist, and M. Lelievre, who worked at Voneche Baccarat created the Val St Lambert glassworks.
