Bank is metal with leather book cover sides. Book shaped bank advertises on the front for The Rising Sun Bank Branch of The Elkton Banking & Trust Co. Rising Sun, MD.. The spine of the book reads, "Save and Have Franklin Vol. 1". This bank was produced by the Bankers Utilities CC company out of San Francisco as marked on one end. Bank has a slot for coins and a hole on the top also for paper currency. We don't have the key for opening the bottom, though. Bank is in good condition overall for its age with some natural wear present. Please see pictures for design and condition detail. Measures 5 and 1/4" tall by 3.5" wide by about 7/8 of an inch thick. Wonderful and hard-to-find old book-shaped savings coin bank would be a great find for your collection. Don't miss it.
