Description: Antique Southern Folk Pottery stoneware jar - Alabama, Texas, Georgia. Alkaline glazed. Looks to be an early piece to me ~mid 19th century. Hand signed/marked in 2 places. The first appears to read “Bryan”, second appears to be 2 letters possibly initials “AD” (best guess). The jar is solid/stable and overall condition is good. There are no signs of restoration or repair. There is a visible crack around the heel of the jar below the big glaze run…this appears to have been made during manufacture as some glaze runs into this crack and when looking at this area from the inside of the jar, no crack is visible. A short and tight hairline (<2”) is also visible on the rim of the jar, above the large glaze run. Otherwise there are a few chips to the rim and misc. bumps/scrapes, etc. All pictured. Selling as is. Please review pics and message with any questions. BIN or Best offer welcome. Ships professionally packaged, double boxed, and insured for actual selling amount.
