Description: Antique Sandwich Pressed Diamond Check and Fan Flint Glass Cup Plate, LR-54, c. 1828 - 1832. This incredible cup plate is one of the earliest of the flint lacy glass type and it has a diamond and sheaf of wheat design. The cup plate is very early and is molded with very thick glass. This pattern is Lee-Rose #54 and is listed in "A GUIDE TO SANDWICH GLASS BLOWN TABLEWARE, PRESSED CUP PLATES AND SALTS" by Barlow and Kaiser. I offer it here with a Buy It Now. DIMENSIONS: The up plate is 7/16" thick x 3 3/8" Dia. CONDITION: The condition is good with a shallow chip or rub to one scallop on the rim. There are also straw marks, bubbles, sand and other imperfections in the glass typical of glassware from this very early period.
