Description: Up for sale is a lidded ginger jar that was manufactured by the Royal Delft factory in Holland. The body of the piece has seams that divide it into sections and panels that give it a more decorative look. Including the lid, the piece stands 11 5/8” tall, has an outside neck diameter of 2 3/16” and a base diameter of approximately 3 3/8”. It is marked on the bottom with the Royal Delft mark and a year code that dates it around 1945.We have looked the item over and find the typical crazing and the base color has a slight blue tint. There are no chips or cracks on the base but the finial on the lid has been broken off and re-attached. It is an old repair as the glue has yellowed. The lid shows no other wear, and the interior of the pieces have no staining. See all photos for more detail. Please see my listings for other unique items.
