Description: These Ronson bookends are the original 1920 version of this model. Each of them are 6 1/2" tall by 4 3/4" wide and are 2 15/16" deep. Both are cast in spelter that has been brass plated, with details that are cold painted. Generally speaking the paint is in pretty good condition with wear commensurate to age. There is wear to the plating and some corrosion. One has a crack at the base. It can be easily seen in photo 13. For the sake of this description I am being very critical as they show well under normal use. There is a later 1922 version of these bookends that have quite a bit less detail. For my taste they are substantially inferior to this edition. Do a little research and find a pair. For example look at the face of the monk in the 1922 model. Unlike the crisp details found here, that one looks like a three year old made it with play dough. Further inspection will reveal more inadequacies. Check out the photos and feel free to ask questions. These bookends will be securely packaged and shipped insured within the lower 48 US states only. The posted shipping rate is for delivery to the west coast. If you are located closer to New England you will likely enjoy lower shipping costs. Local pickup is free. Thank you.
