Antique rare aluminum Disney character Gyro Gearloose created 1952 by Carl Barks

Description: Antique and rare aluminum Disney fictional character Gyro Gearloose created in 1952 by Carl Barks. Professor Sparrow (Gyro Gearloose in the United States) is a fictional character, an anthropomorphic garnisé created in 1952 by Carl Barks for the Walt Disney Company. He originally appeared in the Disney comics as a friend of Donald Duck, Scrooge McDuck, the Boy Scouts and everyone who associates with them.Professor Sparrow is the most famous inventor in Duckburg, a friend of people and who has good feelings with everyone, although he occasionally provokes angry reactions due to some disasters caused by his inventions. Even if their inventions don't always work the way they are supposed to, their intentions are always good. Sparrow is often helped by Lampadinha (created by Barks in 1953), a small android with a lamp for a head, which is considered his greatest invention (next to the "thinking hat", a device in the form of a roof with a chimney inhabited by crows, which helps him come up with ideas). Another frequent assistant is his nephew Pascoal, a child prodigy who finds creative solutions in every situation (the lantern that projects darkness and the hurricane distorter are some examples). At the Italian Disney comic school, Sparrow created all of Superduck's equipment. In Brazil, he created the paraphernalia of the clumsy Red Bat. In some stories, Professor Sparrow's biggest rival is Professor Hawk, but the Shrapnel Brothers and Mage Duck also stand out as his antagonists. Professor Sparrow made his first animated appearance in a 1980 feature film. In the television special Sport Goofy in Soccermania with only one line of dialogue, played by Will Ryan: "Mr. Scrooge, parting with a million dollars?". In the subsequent 1987 animated series DuckTales, Professor Sparrow became a regular character. A reimagined Professor Sparrow appears in the 2017 DuckTales reboot (played by Jim Rash), in which he maintains a lab in Scrooge's Vault. This Professor Sparrow merges characteristics from his tougher, more comedic beginnings with those of his original DuckTales counterpart; the result is a Professor Sparrow who struggles with social graces. He also has a history of inventions gaining awareness and becoming evil, though he argues that some of them are just "misunderstood." In his debut episode, he reveals Little Bulb (this show's version of Lampadinha), which goes out of control under Louie's supervision, and begins debating the creation of the Gizmoduck armor under the codename "Project Blatherskite". It has 11 cm (tall) x 8 cm (width) x 3.5 cm (depth), Weighs 114 Grams.
