Antique Numbered Buffalo Pottery 1907 Rip Van Winkle Pitcher Jug

Description: *** see pictures for Best description!*** WOW 100+ YEARS OLD AND IT HAS SURVIVED THIS LONG IN THIS GOOD OF SHAPE. You are bidding on a EXTREMELY RARE RIP VAN WINKLE PITCHER. Bottom says 1906 1907 UNDERGLAZE BUFFALO WARRANTED POTTERY WITH A NUMBER 1415 A 7 AND A 4 4. The rim has vibrant pictures of a bowling ball and pins, witch hat?, a gun barrel and some other things I can not make out. The one side of the pitcher has Rip sitting on a log near woods and looks to be feeding a dog. The other side has him walking dog chasing him and two boys. The transfer picture on both side and rim is fantastic other than an old crack and possible repair. My finger nail catches it but it’s hard to feel with a finger tip. Very nice color and I see no fading. This is just a must for anyone that collects rare pottery. It measures about 5 3/4" tall from bottom to top of handle. From handle to tip of spout is about 7" and about 3 1/2" wide on the rim. Envelope with note and newspaper clipping is from my grandmother chronically her collection dated 1 -9- 80 pg 25 out of the antique trades. ** also I’m not sure what insurance this shipping I have to select offers but I will make sure it’s insured for the correct amount at the time of shipment.
