Description: Up for sale I'm offering this very attractive covered vegetable dish manufactured in England by the New Wharf Pottery Company in Burslem England between 1891 and 1894. The pattern is Devon which continued to be produced after 1894 when Thomas Wood and Sons absorbed the company in 1894. It depicts a series of floral swags with gold accents and gilding on the smooth edge. This dish is in excellent used condition considering its age with no chips, cracks, or crazing. There is very little wear in the gold and there are no utensil marks. This covered dish measures 12 1/2 inches from handle to handle, 7 inches wide, and 2 3/4 inches tall to the rim. Gorgeous piece! I will combine shipping wherever safely possible and also support local pickup.
