Description: This is an old bison horn rattle. I was told by the seller that this piece came from a private collection of Native American artifacts. It is said to be a medicine man's rattle. The handle shows wear and smoothing consistent with many years of use. The hide cover is tied on to the horn with what looks like thin sinew. The hide cover has some cracks from age.There is a small amount of sinew tied around the lower notch on the handle.Great looking older piece. The overall length is 12". The horn is 6 1/2".
