Description: This antique Farmhouse style wood bowl made by Munising Wood Products in Munising Michigan in the Upper Peninsula would have been used for making bread dough but could have been used for holding foods such as hot soup, as an example. Measuring 9 inches by 8-1/2 inches, it is a perfect size for display or use. Nuts and candies would be lovely in this piece or perhaps holding onions and garlic cloves for cooking which is how my mom used it. As a small child, I remember her mixing olive oil and spices in it. This lovely bowl is meant to be seen and used. The bowl is signed by the maker and has a beautiful golden orange color that adds a pop of rustic charm to any room. The company was in existence from 1911- 1955. This particular bowl could have been made in the late 40's to 1955. I say that because of the research I've done dating the manner of which it was signed. I'm not 100% certain and would welcome any info you'd like to share. Made from either beech or maple, it is an original piece and is perfect for collectors of antiques, farmhouse & primitives. Add this stunning bowl to your collection today!
