Description: Here's an antique, whittled medicine bottle that was used to calm babies/infants, most likely a copycat of Mrs. Winslow's Soothing Syrup, as it contained opiates or morphine in its ingredients: MOTHER BAILEY'S QUIETING SYRUPMeasures 5" x 1-1/4", hand tooled lip, a little stretch in the neck, tiny, entrapped air bubbles, with a smooth base. Dates to about 1875-1890.In excellent condition with just a couple of small top lip nicks as I tried to show, otherwise fine.
