Description: This Ex Voto devotional object is from Italy and probably from the late 1890’s. It depicts a sacred heart and the letters GR for “grace received” Of course hand made at that era. It would have been an offering to a Saint for a vow made—“giving thanks for miracles received “I believe this one is tin but nevertheless greatly detailed. The angel at the bottom has been altered or damaged I didn’t notice this when I purchased it; it was only while photographing the back that I noticed. This price reflects this imperfection. It is quite lovely regardless and certain to add to a collection or begin one as I did.
