Worthpoint): Jan (Hans) Nosek 1876-1966 was born in Czechoslovakia. He exhibited at the Leipzig art fair in the 1890's. He came to America around the turn of the century.. He worked for Lenox porcelain from 1903-1908 and is well known among Lenox collectors for his painting of beautiful women on large lenox vases. From 1908 -1939 he was an illustrator for among others Pictorial Review magazine. In 1939 he joined Lenox again as a porcelain painter and worked until 1954. Lamps do o have a harp.
