Description: This stunning 1876 Holman & Co. leather-bound Holy Bible showcases exquisite craftsmanship, featuring a beautifully tooled leather cover and traditional hubbed spine. Adorned with intricate gilt tooling and original gold-gilded page edges, it also includes a functional brass clasp. Measuring approximately 13.25" x 10.5" x 4". Includes inscription from original owner to wife in elegant calligraphy dated Christmas, 1876. Condition: This antique Bible shows significant age and is extremely delicate. Both the front and back covers have separated from the spine. There is light water damage near the top of the spine as well as a small missing sections of leather. Due to its fragile condition, it should be handled with great care and is best suited for display as a historical piece.
